Introducing the Baltic Bicompax 002. The vintage inspired chronograph for the discernibly modern individual.
A manual chronograph with a step casing, the Bicompax 002 was modelled after timepieces from the 1940s. With its characteristic finish—linear brushing on the side, circular brushing on the lugs, and mirror polishing on the final step of the case—it definitely exudes a contemporary vibe. Each variation catches the light beautifully, creating a straightforward but incredibly gorgeous casing. Its 38mm diameter makes it the ideal dress watch because it exudes a relaxed vintage feel.
The dial of the Bicompax 002 has completely changed. Baltic intended for these dials to have a hint of "art-deco" and to adhere to their initial design inspiration from the 1940s. The dials have two distinct finishings: a sandy matte dial and a stepped circular brushed chapter ring.
A Seagull ST1901 column wheel movement is included with the Bicompax 002. The word "BICOMPAX" describes chronographs from the 1940s that had two registers. A perpetual seconds is shown on the left counter, while a 30-minute counter is shown on the right.
Because acrylic glass was used, the Bicompax 002 has an aesthetically slender appearance. Baltic determined that 12 millimetres is the ideal thickness for a casing with proper proportions.
